Man injured in accident on Addu Link Road

A man has been injured in an accident involving a car and a motorcycle on Link Road in Hithadhoo, Addu City, today.

The police spokesperson told Sun Online that the accident took place near the Bank of Maldives (BML) building in Hithadhoo at around 1:30 p.m.

He said that the man driving the motorcycle broke his ankle and suffered minor injuries, and has been taken to Hithadhoo Regional Hospital for treatment.

An investigation is under way to determine the cause of the accident, he said.

Sources have told Sun Online that the accident took place when a speeding car lost control and collided with a motorcycle. The driver was uninjured but the car was damaged to some extent.
