Rehendhi School; the new government school opened at Hulhumale’ has started a greenery program on Saturday.
Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham inaugurated the program in which parents, students and teachers are also involved.
In the school where there are no plants at the moment, has planned to have plants that give shade and flowers under this program.
After inaugurating the program, Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham requested the teachers and parents to make Rehendhi School a suitable school for all students, and she assumed that the program started on Saturday would make the school a “green school”.
Principal of Rehendhi School, Nazim Abdulla said that parents have decided to donate plants to school under the program and very soon the school will be a green school with several flowering plants.
Rehendhi School consists of 44 classrooms, a hall, laboratories, library, staff room and an administrative office. The capacity of the school for which MVR 110 million was spent, is 1,500 students.
