Court gives another 15 days of dentition for Ibthihaal

Criminal Court on Friday has given another 15 days of detention for Afiya Mohamed, the mother of three-year-old Ibthihaal Mohamed who died in Vaavu Rakeedhoo due to suspected abuse.

Sun Online has learnt that defense lawyer of Afiya, former Deputy Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem was not allowed to the meeting held to extend detention period for Afiya.

Afiya, who has two more children apart from Ibthihaal, has in the investigation carried out by the Human Rights Commission of Maldives agreed that she had physically abused Ibthihaal, but did not have intention to kill him.
