A yellow fin tuna fishing boat has found the missing landing craft, “Coral Craft”, which travelled with five people, capsized.
Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) said that the capsized landing craft has been found due 30 nautical miles West of Baa Goidhoo and two Maldivians travelled in landing craft has been saved from that area. Coastguard is searching for another three people who tavelled in that landing craft.
According to MNDF, the two people found from that area has been taken to Baa Eydhafushi Health Center and one of them is in serious condition.
Information officer of MNDF Major Adnan Mohamed revealed that captain of landing craft Abdulla Rasheed of Raa Alifushi and Abdulla Moosa of Gaafu Dhaalu Gahdhoo are the two people saved from the capsized landing craft.
The landing craft, which travelled from Kaafu Thilafushi to Raa Atoll has been last contacted at 10:45 p.m. in Tuesday night. MNDF said that three Maldivians and two Bangladeshis travelled from that landing craft.
