Two people carrying more than 1kg of drugs arrested at airport

More than 2kg of drugs have been discovered from two Maldivians arrived in Maldives from Bangalore.

Customs said that they have seized drugs found from luggage of a Maldivian woman and a Maldivian man who arrived in Maldives from Bangalore in a flight of Indian Airlines.

According to Customs, their officers have discovered drugs from Dietary Fiber tins kept inside the luggage of 21 year old woman. They said that four packets of heroin of weight 758 grams was hidden inside those four tins.

Customs said that they found four packets of heroin from Dietary Fiber Supplement tins inside the luggage of 22 year old man who travelled with the woman. Those four packets of heroin weighed 768 grams.

An Official of Customs said that those two people and the drugs brought by them have been handed over to Police.
