Man arrested on suspicion of theft of clothes

A Bangladeshi has been arrested for stealing clothes and food in Thaa Madifushi.

Police said that the 28-year-old was arrested with assistance from members of the public at 4:00 a.m. on Friday, and the stolen items have been found at his residence.

The stolen items include clothes hung out to dry at houses in the island, food, mobile phones, and toys.

Police said that Veymandoo Magistrate Court has given the suspect detention of 15 days.
