Housing Ministry in cooperation with Police have started to remove the abandoned vehicles and vehicles remained for a long period of time and old metals at Carnival area.
Speaking to Sun Online, Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Saturday said that the purpose of removing those from Carnival area is to clean the area. He added that a lot of “dumped” vehicles are there at Carnival area and Ministry’s aim is to maintain order in the streets of Malé.
“We have already removed illegally parked vehicles around a week ago. This is also a part of that series” said Muizzu.
While Police and Housing Ministry have made efforts to remove abandoned vehicles and old metals, a total of 111 illegally parked vehicles have been removed from the streets of Malé within this month.
