Chancellor: Medical School to be established in a near future

Chancellor of National University Dr. Mohamed Zahir Hussain has said that a Medical School under National University will be established very soon and services from the School will be started by the end of this year or early next year.

Addressing in the ceremony held on Monday to appoint a Vice Chancellor to the University and a Dean for Faculty of Health Science, Chancellor said that first step, which is development of an expertise report for the establishment of Medical School is already completed and Faculty of Medicine would be inaugurated in a near future.

Chancellor said that students can play an important role through the research center of National University and that researches can go beyond science laboratories.
