The case, where Police had raided the residence of Defense Minister Colonel Retired Mohamed Nazim has been submitted to National Security Services Committee (Committee 241) of the Parliament.
The case has been submitted to the Committee 241 by three MPs of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP); North Mahchangolhi MP Mariya Ahmed Didi, North Galolhu MP Eva Abdulla and Mid Hithadhoo MP Ibrahim Mohamed.
The letter signed and submitted to Committee 241 by these three MPs stated that raiding the residence of Minister Nazim after breaking the door and taking some items during early hours while he is still serving in his post cannot be something usual, and they have requested the committee to clarify the reason behind this raid.
Police have broken the door and entered the apartment of Minister Nazim at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday and according to eyewitness, police left the premises at around 6:00 a.m. with several documents.
