Petrol, Diesel prices reduced to MVR 10 per liter

State Trading Organization (STO) has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel.

STO has reduced MVR 2.33 from every liter of diesel and MVR 2.37 from every liter of petrol which had been previously sold at the rate of MVR 12.37. Hence, the prices of petrol and diesel are now MVR 10 per liter.

In a press conference held on Sunday regarding the reduction in prices of both petrol and diesel, MD of STO Adam Azim said that STO has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel due to the reduction of price for oil in the global market.

Azim said that diesel and petrol will be available from shops of STO at the reduced price from Monday morning onwards.

This is the fifth time STO has reduced the price of oil from November 2014.
