Dead man found in Vilimale

A man who was taking a swim in Vilimale’ has died today.

Police have identified the man as Moosa Idrees, 46, of M. Havaa.

Police Media Official said that the man was found in Vilingili lagoon and was dead by the time he was taken to the hospital. His cause of death is yet unknown.

Following this incident Commissioner of Police Abdullah Riyaz urged, via twitter, to take safety measures while enjoying water sports in the sea.
