PPM opens candidacy for Dhonfanu by-election

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has opened candidacy for Baa Dhonfanu by-election that would be held in January 2015.

PPM has said to submit the application form and CV before10:30 p.m. of 22 December 2014 to PPM Office.

According to PPM, members of PPM are eligible to compete to get PPM ticket for the by-election of Dhonfanu and the candidates must meet the qualifications stated in Council Act 12.

PPM has decided to have primary on 25th of this month between 3:00 – 6:00 p.m, if a primary is required.

A seat from the Dhonfanu council had become empty, after vice president of the council, Yoosuf Naushad, resigned his post.
