Sun Media Group and Mal

Sun Media Group has started free distribution of water in partnership with Malé Aerated Water Company (MAWC).

Free distribution began today at 18:30 hrs. The two parties have agreed to distribute 10000 bottles of Bonaqua drinking water, 1.5 liters.

Under the arrangement, two bottles would be given to every person, and there would be no discrimination between locals and foreign residents.

“The purpose of this arrangement made by Sun Media Group and MAWC is to help the people at this hour of need and to make a contribution. We are not making any discrimination between locals and foreign residents. We also thank MAWC for taking part with us in such an act of national service”, said an official who spoke on behalf of Sun Media Group.

Sun Media Group has announced a request for those who want water to queue up at Buruzu Magu.

Water distribution would continue until the 10000 bottles are given away or until 23:00 hours.
