Sareer proposed as Maldives Ambassador to the UN

Current Maldives Ambassador to the US Ahmed Sareer’s name has been proposed to the Parliament as Maldives Ambassador to the United Nations.

After the presentation of the letter sent by President Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik to the Parliament for its approval, the issue was sent to the National Security Committee for assessment.

Sareer was the Maldives Ambassador to Bangladesh before he was appointed Maldives Ambassador to the US.

His name is proposed as Maldives Ambassador to the UN following the resignation of Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed from this post.
