Woman dies onboard Flyme flight

A 59-year-old woman from Gaafu Alifu Vilingili has died after having breathing difficulties onboard a Flyme flight.

Event Manager at Flyme Zooshan Ibrahim told Sun Online that the incident took place when the woman had difficulty breathing shortly after the flight, going from Male’ to Kaadedhdhoo, took off at 7:19 p.m.

“She was immediately given oxygen using the oxygen masks, and a passenger also administered first-aid,” said Zooshan.

The woman’s condition did not improve, and the flight made an emergency landing at Hulhule’ at 8:05 p.m.

Her death was confirmed at 8:45 p.m., said Zooshan.

Police have not commented on the incident.
