A health camp, offering free consultations with a team of four specialist doctors from India, has been inaugurated at Dhamanaveshi in Male’.
The camp is organised by Cims Hospital of India, India-Maldives Friendship Association, Maldivian Ministry of Health, and the Indian High Commission, as part of the activities to mark 50 years of friendship between India and Maldives.
The team of doctors consists of a gynaecologist, a paediatrician, an ENT doctor, and a dermatologist from Cims Hospital.
Speaking at an event to inaugurate the health camp today, Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives Rajeev Shahare said that the camp offers free consultations with experienced doctors, and would be very beneficial for the people of Maldives. He said that scholarships would be facilitated for Maldivian health sector staff in the future.
The health camp will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until 21 November.
