Government makes advance payment for dog squad

The government has made the advance payment to a Dutch company to confirm Faara Gema, the squad of police dogs to be brought to the Maldives.

The police said that the advance payment of €40,000 was made yesterday.

The government has also made an announcement seeking a party to establish a dog kennel in Hulhumale’.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has said that 16 dogs, worth MVR 1.2 million, would be brought to the Maldives under this project to establish a dog squad.
