Two people stabbed while having breakfast at caf

Two young people have been stabbed in Malé, while they were having breakfast at K Mart Café on Kalaafaanu Hingun.

An eyewitness told Sun Online that two people who arrived on a motorcycle stabbed the two people at the café at around 6:30 a.m., and fled the scene.

The police spokesperson said that the two people are receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), and their conditions are not serious.

Information Officer of IGMH Zeenath Ali Habeeb told Sun Online that one of the two people who were brought in after being stabbed has been released, while the other was receiving treatment in the Emergency Room.

K Mart Café is located opposite National Centre for Information Technology, where there is a CCTV camera which would have captured the stabbing.
