Efforts begin to place additional pipe to prevent flooding in Male

Efforts are underway to place an additional pipe to the sea from areas where flooding is observed to be worst in Male’.

Mohamed Shihab, Mayor of Male’ City Council said to Sun Online on Saturday that one of the regions flooded badly due to rain was West region of Ameenee Magu and under the efforts to solve flooding issue in Male’, placing the first pipe has been started on Saturday afternoon.

Mayor said that placing the pipe has been started on the road between Mafaannu Stadium and Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi on Saturday.
