Minister of External Affairs of India stops over in Gan

External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj has stopped over in Gan of Addu City in her voyage en route to Mauritius.

Indian High Commission in Maldives said that External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met Indian Advanced Light Helicopter crew presented by India to Maldives in her stopover and that Ambassador of India to the Maldives Rajeev Shahare and other senior officials of High Commission have also met the Minister in Gan.

Advanced Light Helicopter crew is stationed in Maldives to assist Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) in Search and Rescue Operations. They also took part in “Dosti 12” exercises, the trilateral exercise of three nations, Maldives, India and Sri Lanka.

External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj will meet the Prime Minister of Mauritius in her official visit to Mauritius, and according to Indian news media, External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj will participate in special events that will be held to celebrate 180th anniversary of arrival of Indian indentured labor in Mauritius.
