Vice President: You have shown due diligence for the safety of our nation

Vice President Dr Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has thanked all the people involved in locating and arresting the two dangerous fugitives, Ibrahim Shahum Adam, G. Cosy, Male’, and Fariyash Ahmed, Javaahiruvaadhee, Gaafu Alifu Maamendhoo, and said that they have shown due diligence for the safety of the nation.

Vice President said this in a tweet after Shahum was arrested at a guesthouse on Maaveyo Magu on Wednesday evening.

“Deepest appreciation for hard work done by all involved in locating the prisoners! You’ve shown due diligence for the safety of our nation,” the Vice President posted from his official twitter account for the commendable work done by the security services in locating the two fugitive criminals.

Escaped criminal Fariyash has also been arrested, at cafe Titians near Shaheed Ali Mosque following a tip-off from the public.

Regarding the operation carried out on Wednesday, Commissioner of Police Hussain Waheed said yesterday that removing anxiety from the community by locating the two dangerous criminals was a huge sacrifice by Maldives Police to the whole Maldivian community.
