Man injured in accident in Hulhumale

A young man has been injured in an accident, where a car and a motorcycle collided, in Hulhumale’ on Sunday evening.

Police said that a 25-year-old Maldivian man, who was riding the motorcycle suffered injuries in the accident which occurred at around 9:00 p.m. Sunday on Finifenmaa Hin’gun in Hulhumale’.

An official of Hulhumale’ Hospital said that the person suffered injuries was under treatment, however details of the injuries would be known after doctor’s observation.

Police said that as per the investigation so far, car and motorcycle both travelled from west to east and accident seemed to have happened when motorcycle collided with the car while it tried to overtake the car.

While the motorcycle involved in this accident was severely damaged, damages were evident in the car as well.

Hulhumale’ Police Station has started investigating the cause of this accident.
