STO opens pharmacies in Inguraidhoo and Filladhoo

State Trading Organization (STO) has opened pharmacies in Raa Inguraidhoo and Haa Alifu Filladhoo, under the program in collaboration with the government to open pharmacies covered by the Aasandha health insurance scheme in every inhabited island across the country.

STO said that Aasandha service would be available from both pharmacies. The number of STO pharmacies has reached 40, with the newly established two pharmacies.

STO said that island councils were very cooperative with the project of opening STO pharmacies in every island.

Managing Director of STO, Adam Azim said that this program was aimed to provide easy access of health facilities to people, and making health services covered by Aasandha accessible to all Maldivians was government’s goal.

STO has assured that this project would be completed within two years.
