Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has received information that a safari boat has hit the reef of K. Fushidhiggaru.
MNDF Media Official First Lieutenant Abdullah Ali said that the accident occurred at around 18:40, and the boat in trouble is a safari named ‘Royal Manta’.
Coast Guard has deployed a harbor craft launch to the area at around 19:45.
MNDF is informed that the boat was carrying 23 tourists and 15 crew personnel.
More details will be revealed when Coast Guard reaches the area.
