Man released under

Police have located a laptop and phone stolen from Ma. Naaresge last night, and arrested two people in relation to this crime.

The arrested people are one man who was released under ‘second chance’ program Shimaz Mohamed, 28, of Rankokaage, S. Hulhudhoo; and Badheeu Zaman, 28, of Divinetest, S. Hulhudhoo.

Police said that Shimaz was checked while he was near Fishermen’s Park due to suspicious behaviour, which revealed that he had a stolen laptop and phone in his possession.

Following questioning by the Police, Shimaz disclosed the laptop and phone chargers were with Badheeu. The Police located these items and arrested Badheeu as well.

The case is currently under investigation.
