Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre holds Recycled Craft Exhibition

The Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre has held a Recycled Craft Exhibition.

In a statement issued last night, the Education Centre, located in Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo, said that the exhibition was organised by its environment club ‘Eco Friends’.

The centre said that the purpose of the exhibition was to save the environment from harmful material, reduce the amount of waste, and encourage recycling.

The exhibition also helped encourage craftsmanship and economic skills among students, read the statement.

Crafts were presented in eight categories, made from plastic, paper, cloth, glass, dried leaves, wood, and other material, at the exhibition held yesterday.

The Education Centre said that the exhibition helped increase environment awareness, and encouraged creativity and innovation among students.

The centre has held the Recycled Craft Exhibition yearly since 2012.
