The hearing scheduled for today against the three suspects charged in relation to the murder of Ahmed Mirza has been cancelled.
Spokesperson for Criminal Court Ahmed Mohamed Manik said that the hearing was cancelled as the state’s witnesses were unable to attend court.
Abdulla Naseef, Mohamed Shifau, and Ali Rifshan have been charged by the state, in relation to the murder of Mirza who was attacked at around 5:45 p.m. on 11 April 2011.
Naseef is charged with deliberate murder, while Shifau and Rifshan have been charged with participation in deliberate murder.
Eyewitnesses have given testimonies in court against Naseef and Shifau, but no one has testified against Rifshan.
