President to inaugurate road construction project in Feydhoo

The President’s Office has announced that President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom will inaugurate a road construction project in Feydhoo, Addu City, this evening.

Spokesperson for the President’s Office, Ibrahim Muaz Ali, said that President Yameen and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim will arrive in Addu City today, and that the President will inaugurate the construction project for Rahdhebaimagu and the harbour road in Feydhoo later this evening.

The MVR 7.9 million project, for the construction of Rahdhebaimagu and the harbour road in Feydhoo, has been awarded to Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC).

The Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has said that efforts are ongoing to finalise agreements regarding several similar projects in Addu City, including road construction projects in Hulhudhoo, Meedhoo, and Hithadhoo.

This is the fourth visit by President Yameen to Addu City since he assumed office.
