Maldivian: New Airbus A321 will arrive in January 2015

National airline, Maldivian, announced that its new Airbus A321 aircraft would arrive in the Maldives in January 2015.

Managing Director of Island Aviation Abdul Harish said that efforts are ongoing to finalise finances and other arrangements regarding the purchase of the aircraft.

He said that Maldivian’s aim is to increase tourist arrivals from China, and that the new aircraft will be used for operations between Maldives and China.

Maldivian presently uses one Airbus A320 aircraft, which contains 14 business class and 138 economy class seats.
