Tugboat refloated from Ifuru reef

The tugboat and the barge that ran aground on the reef of Raa Ifuru on 3 September, have been refloated.

A resident of the island told Sun Online that the efforts to refloat the vessels took place yesterday, and that neither vessel suffered any damage in the incident.

The vessels were refloated by MM Export.

The tugboat and barge, owned by MM Export, ran aground at around 7:00 a.m. due to strong winds on 3 September. No one was hurt in the incident.
