Dhiraagu has informed the public today that mobile network services maybe interrupted for specific areas in greater Male’ this week due to the upgrade of its mobile network and implementation of 4G LTE services.
The telecommunications service provider said the work is scheduled to take place from Sunday 17 August to Thursday 21 August 2014, and that customers may experience mobile service interruptions such as call drops, difficulty in making and receiving calls, getting missed call alerts and impact on 3G speeds.
The maintenance is scheduled for Vilimale’ area Ameenee Magu, Maafannu west towards central Machangoalhi area on Sunday, 17 August, Customs area towards Chandhanee Magu, Majeedhee Magu Junction on Monday, 18 Aug, Ghiyasuddin International School area towards Artificial Beach area on Tuesday, 19 August, Chandhanee Magu, Majeedhee Magu Junction towards Nasandhura Palace Hotel area on Wednesday, 20 August and Hulhule' and Hulhumale' area Hulhule' area, Male’ North area towards central Male North East Artificial Beach area on Thursday, 21 August.
Dhiraagu has said that maintenance work have been scheduled in a manner to minimize impact on customers and that full implementation of the current phase of the upgrade work will be completed by early September 2014. Dhiraagu has apologized for any inconvenience this may cause to customers.
