President Yameen meets Chinese business leaders

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom on Saturday met with leaders of some prominent Chinese companies, during his current visit to China to attend the 2nd Youth Olympics Games.

The companies include: China’s Jiangsu Provincial Transportation Engineering Group, China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd, and Huawei Technologies.

At separate meetings held on Saturday afternoon, discussions were focused on the investment opportunities in Maldives, and the mega development projects of the Maldives.

Furthermore, President Yameen met officials from Tuniu, one of China’s top travel agencies, and attended a lunch hosted by the group, according to the President’s Office.

President Yameen was accompanied at the meetings by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon, Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Youth and Sports Maleeh Jamal, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Adheeb and Minister at the President’s Office Mohamed Hussain Shareef.
