Prosecutor General meets Police Commissioner

The newly appointed Prosecutor General Muhthaz Muhsin has met with Commissioner of Police Hussain Waheed and Senior Officers of the Maldives Police Service on Monday.

Discussions of the meeting, held at Iskandar Building in Male’, were based on the development of the investigative process, expediting the reviewing of cases to allow the Prosecutor General’s Office to forward them to court in a timely manner, and making improvements to the structure of cases to make them easier for review by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Police Commission Waheed also thanked the Prosecutor General for attending meeting, and stated that he hoped for more discussion with the Prosecutor General's Office to further develop the working relationship between the two institutions.

Senior members of the Prosecutor General’s Office also attended the meeting on Monday.
