Four people have been injured after a ferry going from Hulhumale’ to Male’, operated by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), collided with a speedboat.
Police said that the incident was reported at around 9:00 p.m.
The ferry was entering the Hulhumale’ harbour while the speedboat was on its way out of Hulhumale’, said the police.
The police spokesperson further said that four people are undergoing treatment at ADK Hospital following this accident, but no one suffered any serious injuries.
He added that some motorcycles onboard the ferry were damaged in the accident.
The case is under investigation by Marine Police.
