Expat commits suicide in Nilandhoo

An expatriate worker has committed suicide in Gaafu Alif Nilandhoo.

Nilandhoo council president Ahmed Naasih Ibrahim told Sun Online today that the man was discovered hanging by a rope at the front end of a boat. The man conducted fibreglass work on the boat, said Naasih.

The councillor also said that an empty card of painkillers, a bottle of water and some vomit were found near the body.

Police are currently investigating the case.
