Prizes awarded to 29th National Quran Competition winners

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom conferred awards to top prizewinners of the 29th National Quran Competition at a ceremony held at the Islamic Centre on Sunday.

Mohamed Shaffan Sulaiman of M. Happy Corner was the all-around winner of the competition.

Vice President Dr Mohamed Jameel Ahmed handed awards to second and third places from the institutions category.

First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim Didi awarded the prizes to Faheema Abdulla and 14-year-old Rifdha Mohamed Rasheed for committing the Quran in its entirety to memory.
