Three tyres of an aircraft of national airline Maldivian have burst during landing at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) this evening.
Head of Administration at Maldivian Ali Nashath told Sun Online that the incident took place at around 5:30 p.m.
Nashath said that the aircraft was not damaged except for the burst tyres, and no one was injured in this incident.
He said that the runway had to be closed for about 30 minutes following the incident.
“An international flight that arrived during that time to refuel had to be asked to turn back. But the problem was solved without delay,” he said.
