Mobile phone thief arrested in Male'

A 31-year-old man was arrested on a street in Male’ today while fleeing with three mobiles phones stolen from a house in Maafannu.

Police said the man was apprehended with the stolen goods around 9:20 a.m. The suspect has a record of mugging, robbery and drugs, police said.

Maldives Police Service Criminal Investigation Department is further investigating the case.
