Deputy Minister appointed to Finance Ministry

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today appointed Mohamed Ashmalee as the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Finance and Treasury.

Ashmalee will head the National Bureau of Statistics recently established under the Ministry of Finance and Treasury. Prior to the appointment, Ashmalee was the Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Transport and Communication, in charge of the National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT).
