MP-elect Muhamma's motorcycle set on fire

MP-elect for Ihavandhoo constituency, comedian Mohamed Abdulla’s (Muhamma Kalo) motorcycle was set ablaze last night, while parked opposite Gomashige in Chaandhanee Magu, Male'.

Two motorcycle parked next to Mohamed's motorcycle were also heavily damaged in the arson attack, and the wall of the house opposite, along with a display board on a nearby store, were affected by the fire.

Police said the fire was set around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning and that it has left two motorcycles rendered useless. Responding to a report from a local source, police, with help from the public, were able to extinguish the flames around 1:55 a.m.

Police said that it was a deliberate act of arson.
