Supreme Court has assembled a regulation for the administrative arm of the judiciary, Department of Judicial Administration (DJA).
The regulation, published on Wednesday, states that the DJA will function under policies decided by a Supreme Court council of judges. The Supreme Court will also assign a judge from the court, for a tenure of one year, to ensure that the department functions accordingly.
The regulation was assembled under the prerogative granted to the Supreme Court by the constitution, the court said.
