Police officer arrested for attempted smuggle of drugs to Male' Custodial

A police officer has been arrested for trying to smuggle drugs into Male’ Custodial, the main police detention facility in the capital.

Sun is aware that the officer was arrested yesterday and that he remains under police custody. Police have confirmed the arrest, but did not provide details.

In February this year, a 20-year-old man and a minor were arrested for trying to smuggle drugs into the country's primary prison in Maafushi.
