Detention periods for MP Alhan stab suspects extended for a fifth time

Criminal Court has for a fifth time extended the detention periods for the two individuals arrested on suspicion of stabbing Feydhoo MP Alhan Fahmy.

The suspects are Mohamed Sameeh and Mohamed Naseem.

MP Alhan was stabbed on the evening of 1 February while he was at a restaurant .

Tonight, Criminal Court gave the suspects detention periods of ten days.

The court first gave them detention periods of ten days on 2 February.

This was extended by fifteen days on 12 February, followed by another fifteen days on 27 February, and another fifteen days on 13 March.

In relation to this case, police also arrested Mohamed Kinaanath Ahmed, brother of murder convict Hussain Humam Ahmed. Kinaanath was however never taken to court for detention period extension.
