EC invites rejected representatives to reapply

Elections Commission (EC) has invited persons seeking to act as candidate representatives for the upcoming parliamentary election, who got their applications rejected, to reapply.

The representatives can apply between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. today (Sunday), EC said in an announcement today.

EC said the candidates are required to provide a letter stating the number of persons that will act as representatives on their behalf. Representatives are also required to sign an agreement in order to be allowed inside the polling stations and sign the preliminary results sheet on behalf of the candidates, at the end of polling.

Once processed, identification passes for representatives will be available from the Elections Commission headquarters, said the commission.
