Elections Commission has decided to allow a one-day window for voters whose re-registration forms were rejected due to issues, to resubmit their forms, for the 22 March parliamentary election.
Reregistration is required for voters who wish to vote away from their permanent addresses.
Forms with issues maybe amended and submitted to the relevant offices between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Monday, 3 March.
The forms can be submitted to the Elections Commission’s re-registration office in the capital Male’, island council offices in the atolls, Addu City Council, Addu City ward offices and the diplomatic missions in countries planned to receive ballot boxes.
Over 45,000 voters have re-registered for the upcoming parliamentary election.
