Maldives Correctional Service employee suspended

Superintendent of Prisons of Maldives Correctional Service Mohamed Asif has been suspended.

Asif was suspended following an ethics violation.

Head of Maldives Correctional Service Hussain Manik Dhonmanik told Sun Online that Asif has been involved in several ethics violations in the past, and that he was suspended following a letter in this regard by Minister of Home Affairs.

Dhonmanik said that Asif will receive his monthly salary in spite of the suspension.

Asif has served Maldives Correctional Service for nine years.
