Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has commenced efforts to make major changes to the masterplan for the development of Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) created in 2008, by taking into account the construction of a bridge between INIA and Male’.
MACL said in a statement that the new masterplan will include the development of a runway, terminal building, cargo terminal, and seaplane terminal.
MACL said that it will take three months to revise the masterplan, and for these efforts, discussions will be held with government institutions, Male’ City Council, Hulhumale’ Development Corporation, and all groups connected to the development of the airport.
Comments on ways to improve the masterplan can be shared with MACL by email, said MACL.
