Police find drugs at Correctional Service officers

Police have found substances suspected to be drugs at the quarters for Correctional Service officers at Kaafu Maafushi Prison.

Police said that the items, including three packets containing a substance suspected to be drugs and film canister, were found in a cupboard in Block 5 of the officers’ quarters.

Police said no one has been arrested yet in relation to this crime, but investigations were ongoing to determine how the items entered the officers’ quarters.

The case was reported by Correctional Service, and is investigated by Maafushi Police Station.
