Mother, child stabbed in house in Male

A mother and her child have been stabbed in a house in Male’.

The incident took place at around 10:00 p.m. at a house in Mahchangolhi. The two victims have been taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Police said that it was not possible to provide any details at this stage.

Sun Online has come to know that the stabbing took place during an argument.

Six people have been assaulted in Male’ since the start of 2014. Three people including a minor were stabbed on 27 January, Feydhoo MP Alhan Fahmy was stabbed on 1 February, and a young man was recently assaulted with an iron rod in Adi Park.
