Pledges will be fulfilled once government wins majority in parliament: MDA Leader

Leader of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) Ahmed Siyam Mohamed has said that the government will start fulfilling its pledges once the government coalition wins majority in the Parliamentary Election.

Meedhoo MP Siyam made this remark while speaking at a function held last night by the government coalition to inaugurate its Parliamentary Election campaign.

“Once we win majority in the parliament, we will soon enough fully achieve the presidential election pledges, and have people enjoying the benefits,” he said.

He said that the people who say ‘no’ to government coalition candidates in the Parliamentary Election would be saying ‘no’ to the country’s development, and said that he is confident that people would not say ‘no’ to development.

He called on all citizens to think about the future of the youth, and urged them not to vote for groups that will disrupt order in the country.

Last night’s function was attended by senior officials of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), MDA, and Jumhooree Party (JP).
